The agreement between you and My420Love, covering who can join, how members treat each other, what we do and don't promise, how paid passes work, and how disagreements get resolved.

In plain English

My420Love™ is a dating community for cannabis-friendly adults. You must be 21 or older, you get one account, and your photos have to be really you.

This is a place to meet people, not a marketplace. No buying or selling cannabis, sex or anything else, ever.

Our compatibility scores are a fun compatibility tool, not a scientific prediction. We can't promise you'll find love, but we'll do our best to help.

Everything is free for everyone until January 1, 2027. After that, paid plans are one-time yearly passes that never renew on their own, backed by our 7-Day Love-It Promise.

Welcome, and who we are

My420Love™ (the website at my420love.com, our installable web app, our emails, and any website that points to them, together "the Service") is operated by [Legal business name] ("My420Love," "we," "us" or "our"). Our mailing address is [Business mailing address].

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and us. By creating an account, or by using the Service in any other way, you agree to these Terms and to the documents they include:

1. Who can join

To use My420Love, you must:

  • be 21 years of age or older. My420Love is a cannabis-friendly community, so our minimum age is 21 everywhere, even where adulthood starts at 18;
  • be able to form a legally binding contract;
  • not be required to register as a sex offender with any government authority;
  • not have been removed from My420Love before, unless we have told you in writing that you may come back;
  • have only one account, for yourself, for personal (not business) use; and
  • follow these Terms and every law that applies to you.

By creating an account, you confirm that all of this is true. We ask for your date of birth when you join, and we stop anyone under 21 from creating an account. If we learn that a member is under 21, we remove the account.

The Service is designed for people in the United States. If you use it from somewhere else, you are responsible for following your local laws.

2. Your account

  • Be accurate. Give us true information and keep it up to date. Your date of birth can't be changed after you join, so please enter it carefully.
  • Be you. Your photos must be recent photos of you, and your first photo must clearly show your face.
  • Keep it secure. Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account. If you think someone else has gotten in, email help@my420love.com right away. We will never ask for your password by email.
  • Keep it yours. Don't share, sell, rent or transfer your account, and don't create an account for anyone else.
  • Confirm your email. You won't be shown to other members, or be able to message them, until you confirm your email address.

3. What My420Love is, and what it isn't

My420Love helps adults meet each other. Features like the Love Test, Dawn's Test, the Match Report, Why You Match, Meet My Mary Jane, Twin Alerts and the Chemistry Check use the answers members give to suggest people you might click with.

  • A fun compatibility tool, not a scientific prediction. Our scores, styles, archetypes and reasons are for fun and conversation. They are not a scientific, psychological or professional assessment of anyone.
  • No guarantees. We don't promise that you'll get matches, messages, dates or a relationship, or that anyone will reply.
  • We don't vouch for members. We don't verify who members are beyond what our Safety Policy describes, and we can't guarantee that anyone is honest or safe.
  • Your connections are yours. We are not a party to any relationship, date or agreement between members.
  • Paying never buys attention. No plan lets anyone pay to be shown to more people.
  • Things change. We may add, change or remove features and daily limits as the Service grows. If a change takes something important away from a paid pass you've already bought, our Membership Terms and Refund Policy explain what we'll do.

4. Safety and background checks

We also don't verify members' identities. A Photo Verified badge means only that our team compared a live selfie with that member's profile photos. It is not an identity check or a background check.

We work hard on safety in other ways: a person reviews every photo and video before anyone sees it, our filters watch for scams, sales and solicitation, and we act on reports. But no online service can guarantee your safety. There is no substitute for acting with caution with anyone you meet online. Please read our Safety Tips and follow them, especially before you meet someone in person.

You are responsible for your own interactions with other members, online and offline. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for how any member behaves. If you are ever in danger, call 911.

5. Community Guidelines and what's not allowed

Our Community Guidelines are part of these Terms. In short, you may not use My420Love to:

  • involve anyone under 21, or post or send anything that sexualizes a minor;
  • buy, sell, trade, deliver, price, source or advertise cannabis or any other drug or controlled substance, including "gifts" in exchange for "donations";
  • offer, request or arrange commercial sex, escorting, "sugar" arrangements or any payment for dating, companionship or intimacy;
  • ask other members for money, gift cards, crypto, loans or investments, or run any kind of scam;
  • post nudity or sexually explicit content;
  • share intimate images of anyone without their consent, including fake or AI-generated images;
  • harass, threaten, stalk, bully or dox anyone, or post hate speech;
  • impersonate anyone, catfish, or create fake or duplicate accounts;
  • spam, advertise, recruit for businesses or schemes, or solicit members;
  • encourage impaired driving or illegal cannabis use;
  • post content that infringes anyone else's rights, such as copyright;
  • share other members' messages or photos outside My420Love to shame or expose them;
  • use bots, scrapers or other automated tools, copy or reverse engineer the Service, test its security without our written permission, or get around blocks, limits or bans; or
  • break any law.

6. Cannabis: a lifestyle, never a transaction

My420Love is cannabis-friendly. That means members can share how they enjoy cannabis as part of who they are. It never means cannabis is bought, sold, traded, delivered or supplied through the Service. We don't sell cannabis, we don't take a cut of anything, and we don't let anyone use My420Love to arrange it.

  • Laws vary. Cannabis laws differ from state to state, and cannabis is still a controlled substance under federal law. You are responsible for knowing and following the laws where you live and wherever you go.
  • Only where legally permitted. Anything on My420Love that mentions cannabis, such as date ideas, lounge nights or events, is only for adults 21 and over, and only where it is legally permitted.
  • Never in public, never behind the wheel. Many states, including Nevada and Illinois, prohibit consuming cannabis in public. Consume only in private residences or licensed consumption lounges, and never drive impaired.
  • No health claims. Nothing on My420Love is medical advice, and we don't make health claims about cannabis.
  • Sharing is your choice. Telling members about your cannabis lifestyle is optional. Our Privacy Policy explains how we protect it.

7. Your content

"Your content" means everything you put on My420Love: your photos, video, profile text, answers, prompts, compliments, messages, stories and anything else you submit.

  • You own it. You keep ownership of your content.
  • You let us run the Service with it. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, re-format (for example, re-encoding photos and removing hidden location data), display and deliver your content within the Service to the people you choose to share it with, and to use it to operate, moderate, protect and improve the Service. Our service providers may handle it for us only for those purposes.
  • When the license ends. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we keep as our Privacy Policy describes (for example, to handle a safety report or a legal hold) and messages another member has already received.
  • Marketing needs your separate OK. We won't use your photos, video or story to advertise My420Love outside the Service unless you give us separate permission. Love stories need approval from both partners.
  • Your promises. You promise that you have the right to share your content, that it's accurate, and that it follows these Terms and our Community Guidelines. Only share photos of other people if they've agreed.
  • Moderation. A person reviews every photo, video and verification selfie before anyone else sees it. We may filter, hold for review, decline or remove any content, and we may limit or close accounts, when we believe something breaks these Terms or the Guidelines or puts anyone at risk. We aren't required to monitor everything, and we don't endorse what members post.
  • Messages. Our automated safety filters check messages and other text for things like scams, sales and solicitation. Our team doesn't read private conversations as a matter of routine. Staff may review messages connected to a report, a legal requirement, or a safety or fraud investigation, and every such review is logged.

8. Content we create for you

Your Love Test result and archetype, the Match Report, compatibility scores, "Why you match" reasons, conversation starters, date ideas, Meet My Mary Jane picks, Twin Alerts and Chemistry Check snapshots are generated by the Service from answers you and other members give.

They are a fun compatibility tool, not a scientific prediction. They are provided for fun and conversation, not as professional, psychological, medical or relationship advice, and they come with no promise of accuracy or results. They only ever restate members' answers in neutral terms, and answers a member keeps private are never shown to anyone else. We may change how any of these features work.

9. Free access, paid passes and refunds

  • Free until January 1, 2027. Every feature is free for everyone until 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time on January 1, 2027. We don't collect a card during this time, and nobody is ever enrolled in a paid plan automatically.
  • Founding Members. Everyone who joins before then is a Founding Member for life and can get their first year of Love + Weed for $42 instead of $71, for a limited time after paid plans begin.
  • One-time yearly passes. Paid plans ("A Little Bit of Love," $42 a year, and "Love + Weed," $71 a year) are single payments for one year of access. They never renew on their own.
  • The 7-Day Love-It Promise. Change your mind within 7 days of buying (or by the end of the third business day, if that's later) and we'll refund you in full, no questions asked.
  • Secure checkout. Payments are made on our payment processor's secure page. We never see or store your card number.
  • Billing disputes without penalties. If you dispute a charge with your bank, we'll never lock you out of your free account because of it.

10. Events, Date Deals and other businesses

  • Events. My420Love and our family of brands (such as 420 Speed Dating, PrideTime Speed Dating and Red Dawn Comedy) host in-person events, sometimes at venues run by other businesses. Every event is 21+ and requires a valid government ID at the door, and venue rules apply. Cannabis consumption is allowed only at venues licensed for it; everywhere else, there is no cannabis consumption on the premises. Our Community Guidelines apply at events too. Photos may be taken at events, so tell staff if you'd prefer not to be photographed.
  • Tickets. Tickets are separate from memberships. Tickets sold on a host's own website follow that host's terms. If we sell a ticket ourselves, its refund policy is shown before you buy. The 7-Day Love-It Promise doesn't apply to tickets.
  • Date Deals. Local businesses pay to offer member specials, and every deal is labeled "Sponsored." The business, not My420Love, is responsible for honoring its offer and for what it sells. Deals are never for cannabis products, and businesses never receive your personal information.
  • Other websites. Links to other websites and services are there for convenience. We don't control them and aren't responsible for them.

Only post content you have the right to post. If you believe something on My420Love infringes your copyright, send a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) to our designated agent:

  • Repeat infringers. We close the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe. Three valid copyright notices against an account lead to its termination.
  • Our content. The Service, including its design, text, graphics, the Love Test, the Match Report, software and logos, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable permission to use the Service as these Terms allow. You may not copy, scrape or reuse it in any other way.
  • Trademarks. My420Love™ and our logos are trademarks of [Legal business name]. Please don't use them without our written permission.

Sharing intimate images of someone without their consent, including fake or AI-generated images, is never allowed on My420Love and leads to an immediate, permanent ban. Anyone, member or not, can ask us to remove such images using our takedown form, with no login required. We hide the reported content as soon as a request comes in, and we remove it, along with any copies we find, within 48 hours of a valid request. We also block the same images from being uploaded again.

13. Suspension, termination and appeals

  • You can leave anytime. Delete your account in Settings. Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information, and our Membership Terms and Refund Policy explain what happens to a paid pass.
  • What we may do. If we believe you've broken these Terms or our Guidelines, put someone at risk, or if the law requires it, we may remove content, give a warning, hold your messages for review, limit features, suspend your account or ban you permanently. We decide based on how serious it is and on your history.
  • Immediate bans. Some things lead to an immediate, permanent ban without a warning, including being under 21, sexual content involving a minor, threats or violence, sexual conduct without consent, sharing intimate images without consent, commercial sex, fraud, repeated attempts to buy or sell cannabis or other drugs, and returning after a ban.
  • Staying out means staying out. When we ban an account, we keep limited, scrambled (hashed) signals so the same person can't simply rejoin. Our Privacy Policy explains this.
  • Appeals. If we suspend or ban you, we'll tell you the reason category and how to appeal. You can appeal each action once. A different member of our team than the one who made the decision reviews your appeal within 7 days, and we email you the outcome.
  • No retaliation for billing disputes. Disputing a charge with your bank never, by itself, gets your free account suspended or banned.
  • Refunds after a ban. If we close your account because you broke these Terms, we don't refund the rest of a paid pass unless the law requires it. A refund request made inside your 7-Day Love-It Promise window is still honored. [ATTORNEY: confirm.]
  • What continues. Parts of these Terms that by their nature should continue after your account ends, such as ownership, licenses for content already delivered, disclaimers, limits on liability, indemnity and the Disagreements section, keep applying.

14. Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. The short version: we never sell your personal information, there are no ad trackers on My420Love, and the sensitive things you choose to share are used only with your consent, and only to build your profile and match you.

15. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that any match, score, suggestion or content is accurate, reliable or right for you. We make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We are not responsible for the conduct of any member or other person, online or offline.

Some states don't allow some of these disclaimers. Where that's the case, they apply only as far as your state's law permits.

16. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, data, goodwill or opportunities, arising from or related to the Service or these Terms;
  • we are not liable for any harm arising from your interactions with other members or other people, online or offline; and
  • our total liability for any claim relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, or takes away any consumer rights that can't be waived.

17. Your responsibility to us

To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend and compensate us (including our owners, staff and contractors) for claims, losses and reasonable costs, including legal fees, that come from your content, your conduct with other members, or your breaking these Terms or the law. We'll tell you about any such claim and may choose to handle our own defense.

18. Disagreements

Let's talk first. Most concerns can be sorted out quickly. Before starting any legal claim, please email legal@my420love.com, or write to us at [Business mailing address], with your name, the email address on your account, a description of the problem and what you'd like us to do. We'll try in good faith to resolve it within 60 days, and we'll do the same before bringing any claim against you.

Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [Governing state], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the consumer protection laws of your state say otherwise.

Option A: courts. Any claim that isn't resolved informally will be decided by the state or federal courts located in [County and state for court claims], unless the law of your state entitles you to bring it where you live. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies.

Option B: individual arbitration. Any claim that isn't resolved informally will be decided by binding individual arbitration administered by [Arbitration provider and rules], instead of in court, except that either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies. Claims may be brought only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative proceeding. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing legal@my420love.com with your name, your account email and a clear statement that you are opting out. 19. State-specific notices

Some states give you extra rights or require us to tell you certain things. These notices add to your rights under your state's law; they never reduce them.

California

  • You can cancel a paid pass and get a full refund within the time our Membership Terms and Refund Policy describe, including by email. Our 7-Day Love-It Promise is designed to give you at least the three business days California's dating service law provides, and we issue refunds within 3 business days.
  • If you die or become disabled, you or your estate may ask for a refund for the unused part of a paid pass. [ATTORNEY: confirm the definition of disability.]
  • Safety information, and a way to report concerning behavior, are always available on our Safety page.

New York

  • You may cancel a paid pass without any fee within three business days of receiving your contract. Our 7-Day Love-It Promise gives you more time.
  • We provide safety awareness information when you register and on our Safety page.
  • If we remove a member because they may have used a false identity or may pose a significant risk of trying to get money from members by fraud, we notify the members who exchanged messages with them.

New Jersey and Texas

Illinois

  • Safety awareness information is on our Safety page, including the reminder that anyone able to commit identity theft can also fake a dating profile.
  • You may cancel a paid pass for a full refund within 7 calendar days of buying it, as our 7-Day Love-It Promise provides.

Colorado

  • Our Safety Policy explains prohibited conduct, our background screening practices, our identity and age verification steps, how we notify affected members, how suspensions, bans and appeals work, and how to report.
  • Engaging in sexual conduct with another person without their consent violates our policy and the criminal law.

Wisconsin and Ohio

  • Where Wisconsin's or Ohio's laws on dating or prepaid service contracts apply, you may cancel within the time those laws provide. Our 7-Day Love-It Promise is designed to give you at least that much time.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service and the law change. If a change is material, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email and in the app before it takes effect. Every version is saved, and you can always see what changed. Changes don't apply to disagreements that arose before they took effect. If you keep using My420Love after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree, you can delete your account at any time.

21. The fine print

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, and the documents they include, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
  • If a part doesn't hold up. If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • No waiver. If we don't enforce something right away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later.
  • Transfers. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, and we'll tell you if that happens.
  • No partnership. These Terms don't create any partnership, employment or agency relationship between you and us.
  • Things outside our control. We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
  • Notices. We may send you notices by email to the address on your account or in the app, and you agree to receive them electronically. You can send notices to legal@my420love.com or to [Business mailing address].
  • Headings. Headings and the plain-English summary are for convenience only.
